Waterproofing a home is the process used to eliminate or prevent water from seeping in and causing a wet basement.  Over time the foundation of a home settles which can cause cracking and shifting and means you have the possibility of water entering your home.
A few things that will help you determine if you need to have your home waterproofed are:

  • Musty smell in your basement
  • Condensation on the floor
  • Water stains on your basement walls or floor
  • Cracks in the interior or exterior walls
  • Presence of mold on the floor or walls

Whether your basement is finished or unfinished, BZ Waterproofing & Foundation Repair’s basement advisors are trained to diagnos the problem and provide a solution to keep your home dry.

Why BZ Waterproofing & Foundation Repair?

Water and moisture problems in basements are very common. Water problems can not only be annoying and uncomfortable, but can lead to significant health problems. Mold can grow in damp areas and beneath wall coverings. BZ Waterproofing & Foundation Repair can resolve your problems with quality and professional interior de-watering. Water can enter the home through the basement wall/floor joints, cracks in the foundation walls or holes created by faulty or decaying masonry or brick. Interior de-watering is the process containing water and then removing the water. You will need your basement waterproofed when you see the following signs:

  • Water infiltrates or floods your basement during periods of rain or snow melt.
  • Cracks have developed in your foundation walls or stairs.
  • The basement walls are showing signs of bulges in toward the basement.
  • The basement floor is lifting or dropping.

The benefits of waterproofing are endless: increase to the value of your home, improved living space for your family to enjoy, elimination of some of the respiratory problems caused by mold, mildew and fungus that often result from a wet basement and lastly relief knowing that the foundation of your home is structurally safe and sound.

Crack Injection: Cracks often originate from a point of weakness such as the corner of a window, a beam pocket, a utility penetration or from the cut-out of a door sill. Cracking is a common issue that occurs with poured foundations. Concrete walls will crack due to the release of water during the curing process or because of settlement. Cracks are commonly found near breaks in walls or in the middle of long walls uninterrupted by turns in the wall. These cracks often leak and surface repairs with rigid products such as hydraulic cement or epoxy will often fail within a couple of years. Proper crack repair requires that the cracks be fully filled with either epoxy resin or urethane foam. Foundation cracks are not all the same. Our field consultants can assist in choosing the right product and repair method, also will assure the proper crack preparation is performed.

Epoxy injection should be used for cracks that need to be structurally repaired. Epoxies can add a great amount of strength to a foundation and at times can even exceed the strength of the surrounding concrete. The epoxy injection process begins by cleaning the crack and the surrounding area of all debris. Injection ports are then inserted along the length of the crack. The epoxy is then injected through the ports until the crack is completely sealed.

RHINO CARBON FIBER CONCRETE CRACK LOCK®

Introducing a revolutionary new concrete repair product designed to make crack reinforcement more efficient and less labor intensive.

ULTIMATE VERSATILITY

The Concrete Crack Lock is uniquely engineered to permanently stop cracks in concrete slabs, poured walls, masonry, concrete block foundations, columns, industrial buildings, bridges, foundations, swimming pools, as well as preparation for floor coatings.

Additionally, it is designed for cracks of various sizes under virtually any circumstance and can even be used to increase seismic strength to repairs after an earthquake. Another benefit is the minimal aesthetic impact of the repair which can easily be painted over or covered with a finishing product.

COST EFFECTIVE

Less epoxy is used in the installation process as a result of the ultra thin profile. No special tools are required. A diamond blade and drill can efficiently install the Concrete Crack Lock in minutes. The reduction in labor also means higher profits.

UNPARALLELED STRENGTH

The patent-pending Concrete Crack Lock permanently locks both sides of the crack together, preventing any further movement. Once set in place, using RCF’s Structural Epoxy Injection Resin, it welds the crack together maximizing the tensile strength of the carbon fiber, unlike steel products this eliminates any potential for corrosion and reduces callbacks and warranty claims.

FAST INSTALLATION

The Concrete Crack Lock is installed by removing a thin slit of concrete across the crack and drilling two small holes at each end. The cut is then filled with RCF Structural Epoxy Injection Resin, and the Concrete Crack Lock is inserted. Less concrete is removed and less epoxy is needed than common crack repair products, thus taking less time to install. The Concrete Crack Lock is an evolution of the staple, and can be installed in any application where a staple could be used. SINGLE

  • SINGLE BLADE WIDTH
  • EASY INSTALLATION, LESS MESS
  • LESS INTRUSIVE
